USA Falls Short, Korea DPR Advances in U-17 World Cup Semifinal

SANTIAGO DE LOS CABALLEROS, Dominican Republic (Oct. 30, 2024) – The U.S. Under-17 Women’s National Team's World Cup journey came to an end on Wednesday with a 1-0 loss to Korea DPR in the semifinals.

espite a strong defensive performance, the Americans couldn't find the back of the net against a resilient Korean side. Ro Un Hyang's 69th-minute strike proved to be the difference-maker.

The loss marks the end of a historic run for the young U.S. team, who were aiming for their second U-17 World Cup title. They will now face off against an opponent to be determined in the third-place match on November 3rd.
